Natural Gypsum, Raw Gypsum Stone

Natural Gypsum is the gypsum that exists in the natural, experiencing thousands of years sedimentation under the ground, as the shape of stone. Since the environment is quite different around the world or across the country, the raw gypsum stones have various colors: red, green, white, gray and so on. The natural gypsum is a kind of very important nonmetallic mineral resource which is widely used in all kinds of industries including the construction industry, ceramic moulding, art works, medical industry etc.

The gypsum stone is decovered have been used for 4800 years ago the famous Egypy's pyramids and 2000 years ago the Changsha ancient tomb at Mawangdui, some materials of these buildings are made from burnt gypsum as adhesives. In the nearby Paris, France, gypsum is very flourishing, that's why till today we still call it "Plaster of Paris", the plaster of Paris is the dehydrated gypsum after burnt with high temperature. The high strength GRG plaster of Paris can be used for building decorations and some wall printing.

There are thousands of mineral deposit all over the world. In China, the high level quality raw gypsum stones mainly exist in Yingcheng City and Jingmen City in Hubei Province, Hengshan in Hunan Province, Sanshui in Guangdong Province, Zaozhuang in Shandong Province, Pinglu in Shanxi Province. Generally speaking, 45% of the gypsum powder is used for construction purpose, 45% is used for cement production, and the left 10% is used for other industries.
